We have some tragic news to report from the world of reality TV today.
Todd Meadows – A cast member of the popular reality show Discovery The deadliest hunt – He passed away.
He was only 25 years old.
News of Meadows’ death comes thanks to a social media post from another star of the show, Captain Rick Shelford.
According to Shelford, Meadows died Wednesday aboard the ship Aleutian Lady on the Bering Sea
“February 25, 2026 was the most tragic day in the history of the Aleutian Lady on the Bering Sea,” Shelford’s post said.
“We lost our brother, Todd Meadows. Todd was the newest member of our crew and quickly became one of the family. His love of fishing and strong work ethic earned him everyone’s immediate respect,” Shelford continued, adding:
Although not much is known about Meadows’ personal life, Shelford revealed that he was a father:
“His smile was contagious, and the sound of his laugh as he walked up the wheelhouse stairs or over the deck is something we will always carry with us,” Shelford wrote.
He continued, “Todd’s love for his children, his family, and his life was evident in everything he did. He worked hard, loved deeply, and brought joy to those around him.”
“Right now, our hearts are broken in a way that words cannot fully express. We ask that you lift up Todd’s children and his family in prayer and keep them in your thoughts as they face the days ahead without him.
“Todd will forever be a part of this boat, this crew, and this brotherhood. Even though we lost him too soon, his legacy will live on through his sons and in every memory we have of him. Rest easy, brother, until we meet again.”
A GoFundMe page launched in Todd’s memory has raised more than $12,000.
