The Emmys will reveal all nominations on July 8 after the initial split is announced

After initially planning to announce this year’s Emmy nominees in two batches, the Television Academy will now reveal all of the nominees on July 8.

The Academy had planned to postpone the announcement of nominations in a number of craft categories that rely on collective examination committees, and to announce the nominees in those categories on July 15.

In announcing the change on Tuesday, the Television Academy said the move is designed to better accommodate the campaign schedules of Emmy nominees.

The 2026 Emmys nomination round ends June 22. Voting in the final round for the 2026 award winners will continue from August 17 to 26.

The 2026 Emmys are scheduled to air live on NBC and Peacock on Monday, September 14 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. The Creative Arts Emmys, where the majority of the Emmys are presented, will be held about a week earlier, on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6.

The nine categories added to the July 8 announcement are as follows:
• Outstanding cinematography for the series (Half Hour)
• Outstanding cinematography for the series (Half Hour)
• Outstanding cinematography for a limited or anthology series, film
• Outstanding musical composition for the series (original dramatic score)
• Outstanding musical composition for a limited series or anthology, film or special (original dramatic music)
• Outstanding music composition for a documentary/fiction or non-fiction program (original dramatic music)
• Outstanding audio editing for a comedy or drama series (1 hour)
• Outstanding sound editing for a comedy or drama series (half hour) and animation
• Edit premium sound for a limited series or anthology, film or special
