The makers of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ have released the first song from the film. The song titled “My Cook” gives the audience a glimpse of the much-awaited action drama.
Featuring Yash and Kiara Advani together for the first time, the music video blends romance, elegant visuals and emotional intensity. Written and sung by Vishal Mishra, with lyrics by Raj Shekhar in Hindi, the song has also been released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The visually rich track instantly became one of the most talked about music videos of the year.
Chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani takes center stage in ‘Tabaahi’
The music video unfolds like a beautiful dark romantic painting, setting up an intense and passionate love story between the lead characters, Yash and Kiara Advani.
To generate hype, the makers staged a hilarious exchange on social media the day before, where the official handle ‘Toxic’ asked Kiara, “What do you call forbidden love that only exists in stolen time?” She replied simply: “My cook.”The four-minute-and-twenty-six-second video sets a mature, philosophical tone from the start, beginning with a famous quote by the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi: “Outside the ideas of right and wrong, there is room.
I’ll meet you there.”What follows is an incredibly immersive visual spectacle crafted by director Jeethu Mohandas. Abandoning the generic romantic backgrounds, the video uses a distinctly retro aesthetic that depicts Yash and Kiara sharing an intimate, rain-soaked embrace inside the back seats of an old car, driving convertibles on coastal roads, navigating narrow cobblestone alleys, and sharing stolen glances inside the cabin of a Ferris wheel high above a moody carnival.Yash looks remarkably rugged with long flowing hair, a bushy beard and dark leather jackets, a stylish contrast to Kiara’s classic European-inspired wardrobe.
Fans are calling it a visual spectacle and are praising the lead duo
Fans shared extremely positive feedback on ‘Tabaahi’, with many praising the music, visuals and chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani. A fan wrote: “#Tabaahi is the real deal. What a combination! And the chemistry between #Yash and #KiaraAdvani is simply electric.
“This isn’t just a romantic song – it’s about two souls so consumed by each other that love itself becomes destruction.” Another commented, “Kiara Advani is the boldest actress right now in India without any doubt.
#mychef.”Another fan shared, “They make us look exactly where they want us to look… IYKYK. It’s like the intimate photos are the distraction, while the deeper layer quietly reveals itself in hidden glimpses.”
“After #Tabaahi, I am convinced that we are only seeing one layer of toxic substances.”Another reaction read: “Peak chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani. Every frame is rich and grand. Video song #Tabaahi is out now. Dig it, definitely big.” Another fan added: “Peak Kiara Advani. Everyone is waiting for this. Her presence will definitely be a blast in theatres. #Tabaahi.”
