Progress on Sonic the Hedgehog 4 It keeps rolling.
Kristen Bell, a newcomer to the franchise, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of herself in the recording studio as she begins her dialogue as Amy Rose in the upcoming sequel film. Paramount Pictures is set to release a film directed by Jeff Fowler Sonic the Hedgehog 4 In theaters March 19, 2027.
“In the @sonicmovie suite,” the actress captioned the post, adding a raised hands emoji. “#AmyRose is back!” She also tagged Ben Schwartz, who voices the titular creature in the films, and added: “I wish you were here!!!”
Schwartz shared the post to his Stories with the reply, “Aaaaaaammmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!”
For his part, Schwartz last week posted a photo of himself in a recording studio with Fowler and editor Al Levin. “Audio recordings of,” Schwartz wrote Sonic 4 I’ve started! I am. So. excited. to. You. to. See. this. film.”
Fowler, who also managed the previous three Sonic Features, which was posted on social media last month to celebrate that the latest film has wrapped production, calling it “the best Sonic movie yet.” His post included a photo of himself with a Metal Sonic doll, an evil robotic version of Sonic from the Sega game series that was teased at the end of the third film.
Hollywood Reporter We got the scoop earlier this year that Bill would be joining the property as the hammer-wielding pink hedgehog known from the video games. In addition to Schwartz, other voice stars include Colin O’Shaughnessy as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow. Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter complete the film’s live-action cast. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Asher, and Toru Nakahara return as producers for the fourth film.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 It hits theaters in 2024 and sees Carrey portraying a dual role as Dr. Robotnik and the mad scientist grandfather. It has grossed over $490 million at the global box office. Franchise, which began with the February 2020 release of Sonic the Hedgehogalso produced the Paramount+ series Joints.
