Sources said the Punjab Police learned that they had withdrawn the security cover on Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh, who is one of the seven legislators who switched to the BJP from AAP along with Raghav Chadha.

They added that the police security cover, which included between 9 to 10 policemen, was withdrawn on Saturday.
Punjab Police security has been deployed at the former cricketer’s residence in Jalandhar’s Choti Baradari area.

Meanwhile, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) security personnel could be seen deployed outside the former cricketer’s residence on Sunday.
AAP workers on Saturday staged protests outside the residences of Singh, Ashok Mittal and Rajinder Gupta, who have joined the BJP, writing the word “Gaddar” (traitor) on the boundary walls of their residences with paint in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.
On Friday, AAP Rajya Sabha members Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak announced their exit from the party as they joined the BJP along with five other MPs – Mittal, Singh, Gupta, Swati Maliwal and Vikramjit Sahni.

Chadha alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal-led party has deviated from its basic principles, values and morals, which is why he joined the BJP. He said the seven had merged with the BJP as a faction.
In the immediate aftermath of the exodus, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called the seven leaders ‘Gadar’.
Mann alleged that the BJP was trying to break the RJD and “betrayed the people of Punjab”.
