The Telangana government has issued a series of orders affecting large-scale transfers and appointments of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials across the state, citing administrative necessities.

According to separate government orders dated April 25, more than 30 officers were reappointed to key positions in the state administration.
In a major reshuffle, Sanjay Kumar, a 1995 batch IAS officer who was serving as Special Chief Secretary in the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department, has been appointed as Special Officer at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. M Dhana Kishore, a 1996 batch officer, has been transferred to take over Kumar’s role, while continuing to hold the additional charge of private secretary to the governor.
Among other high-level changes, Harichandana Dasari, currently the Hyderabad District Collector, has been appointed Secretary in the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories. Krishna Aditya S has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
At the district level, many collectors have been modified. Bhavesh Mishra has been appointed as Nirmal Collector, while Priyanka Ala will take charge as Hyderabad District Collector. Prateek Jain was transferred to Sangareddy, and Divakara TS was appointed as Collector of Khammam. Several other IAS officers have also been given new roles as district magistrates across districts, including Mulugu, Narayanpet and Nagarkurnool.
The government also made changes in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), appointing several officials as zonal commissioners. P Uday Kumar has been posted at GHMC Golconda, while Badhavath Santhosh will be posted at Khairatabad. The newly appointed officers, including Narayan Amit Mallampati, Vikas Mahato and Mayank Singh, have also been given zonal responsibilities within the GHMC.
The orders stated that the reshuffle was made in the interest of administrative efficiency and governance.
