Actress Preeti Mukhundhan who was recently seen in Tamil thriller ‘Blast’ recently spoke about why she decided to be a part of his film. She also said that choosing him was not an easy decision and described it as an unconventional choice.

Preeti Mukhundhan talks about casting ‘Blast’

According to a report by Cinema Express, Preeti Mukhundhan said during a promotional event for her upcoming theatrical release ‘Idhayam Murali’: “Blast was an unconventional decision. Many heroines in my place would have been afraid to take up a role like this.” She said that she always wanted to do an action role and felt grateful for the love the film received after its release. “I have always wanted to do an action role, so I was very happy and grateful for the audience response after the release,” she added.

Talking about the movie, “Blast” tells the story of a family of fighters who get caught up in a larger conspiracy. They are forced to fight against a criminal gang to protect themselves and survive.

Preeti Mukhundhan talks about the role of ‘Idhayam Murali’.

During the event, Preity Mukhundhan was asked if her role in ‘Idhayam Murali’ would be similar to that of Blast, and Preity said that the two characters are completely different.“I have signed Idhayam Murali even before doing Blast, and my character in this film will be more interesting and a complete contrast to what the audience saw in Blast,” she said.

Directed by Aakash Bhaskaran, Idhayam Murali stars Atharva in the lead role. The film also stars Kayadu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 10.

Talking about her work front, Preeti Mukhundhan has many interesting projects. She will be seen in her second Telugu film ‘Emo Emo Idi’, where she plays the lead opposite Roshan Mika. In Tamil, she has the song “Dashamakan” with Harish Kalyan.
