Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the BJP’s massive win in West Bengal as a “historic chapter” in the state’s history even as he said a new chapter of development has already begun in the state.
Addressing party supporters at the BJP headquarters, Prime Minister Modi said Bengal has now become ‘bhi mukt’ (free of fear) and ‘vikas ki bharose se yukt hua hai’ (full of confidence in development).
“Banglay poriborton hoye geche” (Changes have taken place in Bengal), Prime Minister Modi told the gathering in Bengali.
He said that now after the BJP’s victory, there will be talks about ‘badlav (change)’ and not ‘badla (revenge)’.
“When the BJP wins in Bengal, there should be talk of ‘badlav (change)’ and not ‘badla (revenge),’ bhavishya (future) and not ‘bhi (fear),” he said.
