Janhvi Kapoor’s role sparks debate
While the film remains a hit at the box office, conversations about Janhvi Kapoor’s character have continued online.
Speaking to Telugu360 Digital, Jagapathi Babu defended Janhvi Kapoor and called for restraint in online discussions. He said, “As an artist, the only thing I would say is please don’t target the actor. It’s not fair to go after that girl. We don’t know what her personal opinions are or whether she agreed with every creative decision.”Explaining the creative process behind the filmmaking, he added: “It’s not like she pushed for it herself.
She did what the director asked her to do. When an actor signs up to a director’s vision and trusts it, he follows that vision. We do what the director tells us. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Buchi Babu may have his own reasons. I support Janhvi on this.”The actor also stressed that viewers should focus their opinions on the film and not on individuals. He added: “If you like the movie or don’t like it, comment on it.
But do not single out a specific artist, troll them, or cause them mental distress.”Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
