In the wake of her breast cancer diagnosis, Olivia Munn found unexpected encouragement in the thoughts of Kate Middleton. While dealing with the harsh side effects of the treatment, Moon felt like an island, battling chronic fatigue and discomfort.
Olivia Munn shares her journey through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The actress recently spoke about how Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, who is also a cancer survivor, indirectly helped her feel like she wasn’t alone amid her cancer treatment.
Munn recently spoke to People magazine about the second season of her show, “Your Friends & Neighbors.” During the conversation, the actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023, said there are many challenges that many cancer survivors face after their initial rounds of treatment.
When Olivia Munn felt like she was alone
Referring to the presence of a lot of medications for some people during treatment, the actress indicated that the medications affected her body and caused side effects.
Moon continued, “I think I was being hard on myself because I was asking other friends who were on the same treatment plan as me if they had any of the symptoms I had, and none of them did. And no one said they had fatigue or mood swings or body aches. I thought, ‘I’m the only one who has this.’

However, Moon said she recently heard the Princess of Wales, 44, a fellow cancer survivor, say something that helped and resonated with her.
“Kate Middleton spoke about this recently, and she said it very succinctly (and) it really touched me and gave me a sense of peace, because I finally had words behind it,” Moon said.

“She was saying, ‘You think the big things are the things you should worry about,’ and I paraphrase, ‘But it’s the therapy after you’ve been through the big things that really stresses you out and is really hard on you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, someone else feels that way.’” “This is where you feel really good… when you hear other people’s experiences, because it’s real; you feel so much better when you know you’re not alone,” she added.“Violet” star Olivia Munn was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in April 2023.
