Do you think diversifying the ways of importing energy is a smart strategy for India?

“Qatar has assured us that it will start supplying to India in the first minute as soon as the road is opened,” the sources said. The authorities added that India currently has sufficient LNG reserves and continues to receive offers from multiple countries willing to supply the fuel. The officials said: “We have surplus LNG reserves” and “we have received offers for LNG from a large number of countries.”The disruption of supplies from Qatar is largely related to the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, a critical sea lane linking the Persian Gulf to the open seas.

The road has been greatly affected by the ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel. However, officials indicated that the movement of cargo ships near the strait could resume soon.Government sources said, “Shipping movement near the Strait of Hormuz may begin soon,” adding that this development comes after a statement from Iran indicating that it will not target neighboring countries unless they are attacked from their territory. The officials also noted that India has worked to reduce risks to its energy supply chain by diversifying import routes and reducing dependence on the troubled Strait of Hormuz.
