If media reports are accurate, we’re just days away from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
The social event of the century could turn into a massive logistical nightmare for New York’s finest.
As we previously reported, it appears that Taylor and Travis are planning to tie the knot at Madison Square Garden.

(Yes, the basketball court isn’t typically a wedding venue, but they’ll make an exception for a billionaire who happens to be the most famous woman on the planet.)
Insiders say New York Times The wedding is scheduled to take place on July 3, although July 2 and 4 are also possible.
This means that Tai and Trav will be hosting this year’s celebrity event in midtown Manhattan on the weekend of America’s 250th anniversary.
Needless to say, this event will definitely attract all kinds of attention:
In addition to the army of Swities who will surely gather outside the arena, there are sure to be throngs of photographers and a fair number of protesters expressing their distaste for Taylor’s vast wealth.
As a result of the chaos likely to unfold next weekend, the NYPD has reportedly been placed on high alert.
diverse I spoke with two police officers who work in the Midtown area, and both revealed that they were briefed on the Swift-Kelce wedding and what was expected of them.
“Both officers said they were made aware of the potential influx of Taylor Swift fans, photographers and onlookers on the day, and that it was a topic of discussion and amusement when chatting with their friends on the force,” the outlet wrote, noting that the officers spoke on the condition of anonymity.
We’re sure Taylor will be joined by a top-notch security detail, but she’ll probably breathe a little easier knowing the NYPD is also on the mission.
However, New York taxpayers may feel a little differently, and a fair number of passengers will certainly end up wishing Taylor and Travis had chosen to host their wedding on a private island somewhere.
Details are still scarce, and we do not know exactly when Travis and Taylor would say “I do,” but times The report states that an event for about 100 people will be held at MSG on July 2.
On July 3, there will be a larger event attended by 1,000 guests.
Is the first event the ceremony and the second the reception? Does the whole thing happen on the first day and Taylor hosts a little concert for her important friends on the second?
Only time will tell. But in the meantime, it seems at least that the safety of all participants will be guaranteed.
