Newport Beach TV Fest: Seth MacFarlane prepares for Maverick Award, live episode of THR’s ‘Awards Chatter’

Seth MacFarlane, the prolific comedy and television creator who is currently in the running for an Emmy for his Peacock series Tedwill be presented with the Newport Beach Television Festival’s Maverick Award on Sunday, June 7, the festival announced Tuesday.

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m., at the Lido Theater in Newport Beach, with a live recording of a song Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards talks The podcast, hosted by Indeed, during which MacFarlane will discuss his life, career and ongoing TV series portfolio, which not only includes… Ted But also Family man, My dad is an American!, Orville and “The burps.”.

Immediately afterwards, a special celebrity guest will present his award to MacFarlane on behalf of the festival.

The Newport Beach TV Fest will take place June 4-7 and will feature a wide range of TV-related screenings, panels and events. Other special guests in attendance include Andy Cohen (Creative Impact Award); Sebastian Maniscalco (Comedy Special of the Year); Landman Stars Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Andy Garcia and Michelle Randolph (Outstanding Drama Ensemble Award); and Shrink Stars Jason Segel, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tenney, Luketa Maxwell, and Ted McGinley (Outstanding Comedy Ensemble Award), among others.
