Congress MP K Suresh said on Thursday that the party leaders will abide by the decision of the party leadership after the party observers’ meeting in Keralam.

Speaking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram after the meeting, Suresh said, “I will obey the decision taken by the party high command.”
Earlier in the day, senior Kerala Congress leaders, including V D Sathisan, Kodikunil Suresh, Debdas Munshi and others, arrived at the Taj Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram to meet party observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken.
Speaking about this development, Congressman K. Suresh, said that it is part of the procedure followed by the Congress high command, which they are following after the elections, and it also applies in Kerala.
Both observers hold important positions within the Congress party, he said, adding that Mukul Wasnik was an official in the state earlier.
“This is part of the process conducted by the Congress high command. In every election, whether the Congress gets a majority or not, the high command sends observers to pick and elect the CLP leader. This process is also applicable in Kerala. The high command has appointed two senior leaders and working committee members as observers: Mukul Wasnik, who was previously in charge of Kerala and knows Kerala politics, and Ajay Maken, who is currently the treasurer of the AICC. These two important leaders have been sent by the high command to study the situation and get a hold of them,” Suresh said. on the views of MLAs and other senior leaders.”

He added, “After their evaluation with various newly elected military leaders, they will send a report to the senior leadership. Based on their report, and after the senior leadership’s talks with senior leaders, they will make the appropriate decision.”
The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is scheduled to hold its first legislative party meeting of newly elected members today in Thiruvananthapuram. AICC senior observers Ajay Maken and Mukul Wasnik will attend the meeting where discussions regarding the ministerial face are likely to take place.
This comes after the Congress-led United Democratic Front began the process of forming the government after achieving a landslide victory in the Kerala Assembly elections. The United Democratic Front won 102 seats in the 140-member assembly, ending the decade-long rule of the Left Democratic Front.
The Congress emerged as the largest party in the alliance with 63 seats, while its ally, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), won 22 seats.
