Reinforcing its position, US Central Command once again refuted all allegations of Iranian forces shooting down US fighter jets, saying in X: “No US fighter jet has been shot down by Iran.”
Earlier, Iranian state-run Press TV published footage on Channel X purportedly showing the plane crash over the coastal city of Chabahar.
The clip shows a plane, which Iran claims is an American F-18, being shot down “successfully.” The channel said while publishing the video: “The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announces that it successfully targeted an American F-18 fighter jet.”
This development comes hours after Iran rejected an American ceasefire proposal, warning that the strikes would continue until its demands were met. Tehran rejected the US 15-point plan, saying any truce would only take place according to its terms and timetable, a senior official told Press TV. The official added, “Iran will end the war when it decides to do so, and not when Trump imagines it will end.”Iran’s stated conditions include halting attacks, providing guarantees against any future conflict, compensation for war damage, ending hostilities on all fronts, and recognizing its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
