The Los Angeles Rams drafted sons Ice Cube and Chris Tucker to recreate the classic comedy of their famous father. Friday.
O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Destin Tucker headline the reimagined film titled Thursdaystarring alongside Terry Crews, YG, Kevin Dotson, Jared Fierce, Byron Young, and Big Boi as part of the team’s latest edition of their draft campaign. It was released today ahead of next week’s NFL Draft on all Rams digital and social platforms.
Fridaydirected by F. Gary Gray from a screenplay by Cube and DJ Pooh, released in 1995 from New Line Cinema. It starred Cube as Craig and Tucker as Smokey, two friends who must come up with the $200 they owe a local bully or there will be no Saturday. Agency partners at TBWAChiatDay Los Angeles worked with the Rams to develop a reimagined version of the draft, one that “celebrates the cultural impact” of Friday in the communities where Rams fans live.
They were even filmed in the original Friday A house located in the West Athens neighborhood southeast of the SoFi Stadium headquarters in Inglewood. Thursday It is designed to focus on the anticipation and excitement of the draft and who the Rams could ultimately land.

By reimagining Thursday, connecting it to the draft, and connecting it to real fan experiences across the city, we’re creating something that truly represents Los Angeles.”

These include Zillow Draft House, a pop-up near Cinépolis Inglewood in Hollywood Park that is now open and features a branded living room, a mini-football field and a retail experience. From April 23-25, the Rams at Hollywood Park will host a Rams Block Party presented by Zillow that will include rides, carnival-style games, “Main Street” activations and spaces to watch the NFL Draft live. Proceeds benefit the Ramez Foundation.
Jackson is a veteran actor who made his debut by portraying his father in a movie Straight from Compton. Most recently, he starred in the Sundance film Idiots.
