In contrast, Noida witnessed heavy spells of rain throughout the day, with many low-lying areas reporting water accumulation. Commuters faced slow traffic and delays as major roads suffered from drainage problems.

IndiGo issues travel advisories

Amid variable weather conditions across the National Capital Region, IndiGo has issued a travel advisory, warning passengers of possible disruptions due to inclement weather in the region.

“The bad weather over Delhi has affected flight schedules. We are closely monitoring the weather and doing our best to get you where you want to be safely and smoothly,” the airline said, urging passengers to check the flight status before heading to the airport.

Rain is likely to reach Delhi

Meteorological officials noted that thunderstorm activity may extend to Delhi later in the day or by Wednesday, as the system continues to move through the region.

Residents have been advised to remain alert for sudden weather changes, while commuters, especially in Noida, have been urged to plan for delays amid persistent waterlogging.
