The actress revealed on her social media account that her daughter, Elle, had bone cancer.

On Sunday, the actress took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself with her daughter, Ellie, along with a deeply emotional caption revealing her cancer diagnosis. “I wanted to share some difficult news with you today…this is my beautiful daughter, Ellie,” she wrote.
She is currently battling osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and my family and I are doing everything we can to help with her recovery.She continued: “I remember Fred Rogers saying, ‘When I was a boy and I would see scary things on the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You’ll always find people who help.'” She also mentioned how grateful she is to all the people in her life who reached out to help her at a time like this.
She concluded her post by adding: “Ellie is an amazing, deep, sensitive, wise, strong, brave, smart and funny soul. Beautiful inside and out. We have a long journey ahead of us… Would you please keep Ellie in your prayers for her full recovery, and perhaps leave a comment for her here, or on her account? Thank you so much for reading and for your support.”
An outpouring of support from his fellow actors
As soon as the actress shared the news online, netizen fans and many of her colleagues in the film industry reached out to share their support and love for Tom and her daughter.
