In a post shared by @FearedBuck, the BruceDropEmOff message appeared alongside a photo of Anthony and a screenshot of the original tweet from @raycondones. Bruce wrote: “I stand with Carmelo Anthony, every picture you see of this young black man with his head held high, don’t let them break you brother. #FreeHe.”The post quickly gained attention because it came shortly after Anthony was convicted of stabbing fellow teen Austin Metcalf at a high school reunion in Texas.

What happened between Carmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf?

The accident occurred on April 2, 2025, during a rainy high school meet in Frisco, Texas. According to witness accounts and court testimony, Carmelo Anthony entered an area used by Memorial High School students.Austin Metcalf and others reportedly asked Anthony to leave several times. During the argument, Anthony allegedly said, “Touch me and see what happens” while reaching into his bag.

After a brief confrontation, Metcalf pushed Anthony. Anthony then pulled out a knife and stabbed Metcalfe once in the chest. Metcalfe later died from the injury.
