Director and choreographer Farah Khan has never hidden her admiration for the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. But when she finally came face to face with her idol, even the usually outspoken director found herself at a loss for words.In her latest YouTube vlog, Farrah revisited that memorable moment and shared details of her brief interaction with the global music icon, revealing how she dropped everything else just to meet him.

Farah recently visited dancer and actress Shruti Sinha to celebrate the success of her series Campus Beats. Actor Shantanu Maheshwari was also part of the vlog. During their conversation, Shruti talked about training in ballet for eight years in Delhi, which prompted Farah to talk about her lifelong admiration for Michael Jackson.When Shantanu pointed out that Farah was among the few Indians who had met the legendary singer, the director immediately started the story.Recalling the incident, Farah said, “Shah Rukh was performing and I had gone to choreograph for Shah Rukh, Aishwarya and all of them. The sponsor of the event told me that Michael Jackson might come as the chief guest.”She continued, “Suddenly, the main wings mein khadi hoon aur Shah Rukh ka performed aaraha hai and the sponsor said Michael Jackson aaraha hai….I…

“I still get goosebumps”
Farah revealed that she was taken to Michael Jackson’s room moments before meeting him and remembers the atmosphere clearly.“They took me into his room, and it was completely dark because he didn’t like bright lights and stuff. He was sitting in dim lights, and I still get goosebumps saying that,” she recalled.Describing their interaction, Farah added: “He asked me very nicely, ‘What’s your name?’” And I said Farah Khan. He said, ‘That’s a strong name,’ and then I took a picture of him standing, and then I cut out the sponsors.”The cherished photo remains one of Farah’s most precious memories of meeting her idol.
Farrah defended the Michael Jackson biopic earlier this year
Earlier this year, when a Michael Jackson biopic sparked a mixed response from critics, Farrah came out publicly in support of the film.
Sharing a photo with the late pop star on social media, she wrote, “Point to make… critics are morons in every country! Go watch Michael! Someone please give Jaafar Jackson an Oscar next year.”
What’s next for Farah Khan?
While Farrah has been actively focusing on her YouTube channel and recently celebrated hitting the gold play button, she has also been gearing up for her next directorial project.The director recently revealed that she plans to start work on her next film by the end of the year. According to Farah, she hopes to collaborate again with Shah Rukh Khan, and is willing to wait until the star can allot dates for the project.
