During one of his recent live sessions, the actor and singer spoke about all the struggles the team went through to ensure ‘Satluj’ sees the light of day. Post the release day, while live streaming and talking to fans about the film, Dosanjh revealed that he was not allowed to talk about the film until its release.When a fan asked why it was not released on another platform, he responded by saying in Punjabi, “Until yesterday I was not even allowed to talk about the film with anyone.
The film was released directly on the platform without any promotion at all. Does this ever happen? The entire team worked hard on the film.”He also noted that there were a lot of things he wanted to talk about; However, he cannot, although he still asked fans to continue their support and stated that he has seen all the videos, edits and posts made by viewers about the film online.
‘Satluj’ was removed from OTT after two days
After almost 4 years, Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Satluj’, which was titled ‘Punjab 95’ for the first time, was released on the popular OTT platform.
But two days later, it was completely removed from the platform “until further notice.”

As news of the film’s removal from ZEE5 spread online, Dosanjh addressed the matter during his live stream as well. He stated that the matter was silenced in 1995, and the same thing will happen in 2026 with “Stolog.” He added, “Until today, it does not allow anyone to talk about it. The court has already issued its decision on this matter, and the film talks about the same thing and does not try to show anything new.”
However, he continued to speak positively and thanked everyone for watching the film and shared that he saw everyone’s efforts to spread the film everywhere. He added, “The only thing I feel comfortable with is that you all own the film now, and the film cannot be stopped now.” Earlier in the live broadcast, the actor had already stated that news might be coming about the film being removed from the platform, however, he shared that he is happy to see people watching the film and sharing it everywhere they can.After the film was removed, illegal download links started spreading online, with fans sharing links where ‘Satluj’ could be downloaded illegally.
