Zach John King, the famous country singer, announced that he was canceling his concerts for two weeks after the sudden death of his father. While fans shared their condolences and support during this difficult time, the artist wrote a heartfelt message to “the greatest man I will ever know.”
“Farewell my dear father,” he assured concert-goers that he would continue performing after the mourning period, noting that his father wanted him to do so.

Zach John King expressed his frustrated feelings on his social media account on July 14, 2026. “On Friday, my father suddenly returned home to Jesus. He was the rock of our family. My best friend. The greatest man I will ever know,” the “Just Missed You” singer wrote, before adding, “John King was the kind of husband, father, grandfather, friend and Jesus follower you only find once in a lifetime.”
Those who knew him knew that his eyes were never fixed on this weary world.
It used to frustrate me how happy he was even in life’s worst moments.King revealed the unexpected departure and said that his father was gone in the blink of an eye. “We wanted 25 more years with him,” he wrote, “and this pain will remain deep for the rest of my life.” Furthermore, the “Wannebe Cowboy” singer canceled shows after the tragedy out of grief for his family.
“After that, I will do what my father wants me to do and go back to work,” he wrote. Concluding his heartfelt letter, King wrote the quote his father said on the day he died: “Today is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and rejoice in it,” adding: “I love you, Dad.
I will see you soon.”
