Actress Celina Jaitley has confirmed her return to acting after a long absence. The actress has announced that her next project will be ‘Sister Nivedita’, a film based on the life of Margaret Elizabeth Noble, who later became known as Sister Nivedita.

This announcement comes during a difficult stage in Selena’s personal life. She is currently embroiled in an ongoing legal dispute with her estranged husband, Peter Haag. Selena shared the news with her followers on X, where she posted an emotional note explaining why she decided to return to acting.

The actor shares an emotional message with fans

In her post on social media, Selena spoke frankly about the difficult period she was going through. She said that returning to films seemed to be the right decision and thanked everyone who stood by her during this stage.

She wrote, “Dearest all…it’s tough but I have no other choice but to return to my profession because this is what I do best and this is what will probably save me from everything life has thrown my way. I hope I have your love and support in this journey and remain grateful to all who stand by me and help me get through these difficult times.”

The heartfelt message caught the attention of fans, many of whom wished the actress success as she begins a new chapter in her career.

All about “Sister Nebedita”

Along with her announcement, Selena also shared details about the upcoming film.She revealed that “Sister Nibedita” will be directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. The film narrates the remarkable life of Margaret Elizabeth Noble, an Irish teacher who traveled to India after being inspired by Swami Vivekananda and devoted herself to education, social service and spiritual work. Selena said, “I will next be seen in the amazing film Sister Nibedita, directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee and produced by Aritra Das and Sarbani Mukherjee.

“The film celebrates the extraordinary life of Margaret Elizabeth Noble, the Irish teacher who followed Swami Vivekananda to India in 1898 and dedicated her life to India’s education, service and spiritual awakening.” The project marks Selena’s first film after an extended break from the screen.

Selena married Austrian businessman and hotelier Peter Haag in 2011. The couple welcomed twin sons in 2012, and later became parents to another set of twins in 2017.

Sadly, one of the newborns died shortly after birth due to congenital heart disease.In November 2025, the actor filed a case against Peter Haag under the Domestic Violence Act. She alleged that she faced domestic violence over several years. Selena also said that she was separated from her children despite having a joint custody order. Legal proceedings are still ongoing.
