A 42-year-old businessman was shot dead by two scooter-borne assailants in broad daylight here on Wednesday, police said, with the victim’s wife alleging the role of her mother-in-law in the incident.

Two assailants on a scooter shot Sharma, Kumar said. He was rushed to Doon Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, the wife of the deceased, Abhilasha Sharma, has submitted a complaint, including four people who have been suspected. mother in lawfor murdering her husband.

In the complaint, Abhilasha said that Bina Sharma had financial dealings with Vinod Uniyal, his wife Sangeeta Uniyal and Dr Ajay Khanna, owner of SK Memorial Hospital, which was opposed by her husband, the deceased, and that she had a dispute with her mother over the matter.

Abhilasha expressed doubt in her allegations that these men had killed her husband dispute.

According to the police, a case has been registered based on the complaint.

This is the second murder in Dehradun city in just 10 days. Earlier on February 2, there was a complaint that a 22-year-old woman was killed by a sharp weapon in the flea market.

The Inspector General of Police took the incident seriously. Garhwal RangeRajeev Swarup, visited the spot and directed the Dehradun SSP to arrest the killers and devise a concrete strategy to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
