The Hera Pheri comedy franchise and its legacy

“Hera Pheri” is a beloved comedy series that began with the 2000 hit film directed by Priyadarshan, starring Akshay Kumar as the scheming Raju, Suniel Shetty as the serious Shyam, and Paresh Rawal as the famous Baburao “Babu Bhaiya” Apte. The film’s 2006 sequel, “Phir Hera Pheri”, added to the chaos with a financial fraud plot.
