Alan Tudyk, Andrew Rannells, Kelly Marie Tran, and Rita Ora are among the notable names set to serve on this year’s HollyShorts Film Festival jury.

They will headline the shorts with Alfre Woodard, Katheryn Winnick, David Cross and Judy Greer at the Oscars and BAFTA Qualifying Festival, taking place August 13-23 at TCL Chinese Theaters in Hollywood.

The jury also includes Academy Award-winning producers Guneet Monja Kapoor and Kim Magnuson, filmmakers Adam Greaves, Lee Knight, and James Dean, acclaimed Iranian director Ali Asgari, actresses Sibyl Kekilli, Radhika Apte, and Marina Sirtis, and distinguished singer Megan Lawless.

Also serving on the jury are Hope Davis, Rhys Darby, Alexandra Breckinridge, Alanna Ubach, Cory Michael Smith, Rachel Nichols, Natasha Leggero and Katherine Isabelle.

The festival’s sports competition jury is chaired by two-time NBA All-Star Barron Davis, along with NBA agent and DNA Agency founder Colby Chinto.

The festival’s official selections will be judged by a jury via HollyShorts competitions, with grand prize winners for Best Short Film, Best Live Action Short Film, Best Animated Short and Best Documentary Short becoming Oscar-eligible.

“I’m honored to be a part of this year’s HollyShorts Film Festival. I’ve always been a fan of the short film format and the poetry it inspires,” said Alan Tudyk, while Tran said, “As a fan of independent films in all media, I’m honored to be a member of the HollyShorts jury this year. Short films play an important role in every filmmaker’s journey and I’m excited to learn about this art form,” added Kelly Marie Tran.

“Oscar-qualifying theater is built on two decades of belief in new voices, and I am honored to help determine who wins this year,” Winnick added.

Founded in 2005, HollyShorts has grown into one of the leading international short film industry showcases, showcasing emerging talent alongside established creators. This year’s festival will showcase 430 films from around the world while hosting Q&As for filmmakers, industry panels and an annual awards ceremony.
