An unidentified thief stole $Police said 9 lakh people belonged to the women’s self-help group (SHG) after the window of a parked car was broken in Bokardhan town in Maharashtra’s Jalna district on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, ten women from Yogeshwar Mahila Bhashat Ghat (SHG) in Kotha Jahangir village visited the State Bank of India branch in Bokardhan to withdraw money.

At approximately three o’clock in the afternoon, these forces withdrew $9 lakh from the bank and left in a small car for their village. They added that the group members later stopped at a tea stall on Jafarabad Road and got out and left the money inside the parked car.
While the women were away, an unknown thief broke the car window and fled with the bag containing the money. Police said the women immediately searched the surrounding area, but found no trace of the missing money or any suspicious person.

They went to the police and filed a complaint.
An officer at Boucardan police station said: “We are collecting CCTV footage from nearby locations and have launched a search operation to arrest the culprit. Further investigations are underway.”
