A 51-year-old Indian man died after a medical emergency on board the Abu Dhabi-Bangalore flight

Yusuf Kunmu, a man from Kerala, died on a flight between Abu Dhabi and Bangalore.

A 51-year-old Indian man from Kerala, Yusuf Kunmu, died after suffering a medical emergency on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Bangalore before its take-off on Monday.The deceased’s nephew, who lives in Abu Dhabi, told Gulf News that Yousef was traveling on a visit visa and was returning to India alone when the incident occurred.According to sources at the airline quoted by the newspaper, Youssef suffered from breathing difficulties shortly before departure. The flight crew immediately called for medical assistance and paramedics rushed to the plane to attend to him.He was later taken to hospital but was declared dead on arrival.The exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, although family members believe he may have suffered a heart attack.The accident caused a short delay to the flight before it continued its journey. Joseph left behind a wife and five children, including a three-month-old baby.His body is currently being kept in a morgue while his relatives and community members are making arrangements to return his remains to his birthplace in Kerala.
