Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Live Score, 3rd ODI: Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hassan Miraz won the toss and bowled for the debut against Zimbabwe in the third and final ODI at Harare Sports Club on Saturday.
After losing their first two matches, Bangladesh will be hoping to regain some pride, while Zimbabwe will be aiming to extend their winning streak to 3-0.
Miraz wants to improve his batting
Explaining the decision to bowl first, Miraz admitted that Bangladesh were disappointed with their performance in the previous match but insisted that the team had moved on.
“We’ll play first. The way we played in the last game was a bit disappointing, but that’s over, and we’re thinking about the next game.”
The Bangladesh skipper stressed the need for better partnerships with bats.
“I think we need partnerships up the order and then at the back. So we made some mistakes, but we can think of the positives and we already know the conditions because we’ve played two games. I think we didn’t play well in the last game.”
Bangladesh made two changes to its lineup, introducing Muhammad Saifuddin and Tanveer Islam.
Miraz added: “We have two changes. Saif Al-Din enters. Tanveer enters.”
Satisfaction is confident that the clean scanning process has been completed
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has revealed that Richard Ngarava has been rested as part of workload management.
“Richard is fine. I think it’s one of those policies that we have to manage our workload. If you look at Richard’s history from behind and also the games he’s played, so it was important to give him a rest as well. So we rested him today along with some other players.”
Reda credited the positive atmosphere in the dressing room for Zimbabwe’s success in the series so far.
“The confidence, the mood and the culture we have in the changing room. I think all these things add to what you see and what everyone sees in the park as well. Everyone is in very good shape, everyone feels confident, and today’s match is another opportunity for all of us to showcase our skills and try to finish the series 3-0.”
He also spoke about the challenge of batting on the winter courts in Harare.
“I think playing at Sports Club in the winter in particular, I think against a new ball, it’s always going to be very difficult. But I think the credit goes to our players as well from the first game. They improved massively in the second game, and today I’m very confident there will be further improvement in the third game. We’re learning on our feet, and today I think it’s a challenge, but it’s another opportunity to master the winter wicket in Harare.”
Zimbabwe also made three changes to its squad.
“So we have Nyamhuri who has been troubled, he is out. And of course, we are managing the workload for the bowlers. The two seamers come in, Nesto and Chifanga, and Wellington comes in as a replacement for Nyamhuri. So we have to add two seamers and a spinner.”
Pitch report
The pitch at Harare Sports Club is expected to provide assistance to both batsmen and bowlers.
“The surface looks good, but there’s a lot of grass there, and it’s been rolled, and you can see that the color of the surface has changed because of the amount of rolling that’s been put in. But there’s a good, thick cover of grass. But again, it’s all about your application.”
