The Kansas City Chiefs are facing urgent calls to cut wide receiver Rashie Rice after TMZ published details from a lawsuit filed by the mother of his children, Dakoda Jones, alleging the WR choked, choked, scratched, hit and hit her in the head during their 19-month relationship. The pattern of violations occurred between December 2023 and July 2025.
“Rashi Rice continued over and over again [assault] “Dakoda Jones over the course of their relationship,” the lawsuit claims, TMZ reports. Jones and Rice have two children.
It says Rice also committed “other violent and abusive behavior,” including “punching walls and smashing furniture.” Jones added that it caused “bleeding, swelling, bruising, other pain and physical injuries to her neck, face, mouth, arms, legs, chest and shoulder.” Most of the abuse occurred during her pregnancy.

Many fans called on the Chiefs to take action. One person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Rice has had several issues off the field in the past two years, and now the mother of his children is suing him for abusing her while she was pregnant. Fire him now.”
This comes weeks after Dakoda Jones, in a series of photos on social media, accused Rashi Rice of physical assault. After the allegations were made, the NFL launched an investigation into the Chiefs star for possible violations of the league’s personal conduct policy. The league has yet to respond to the latest lawsuit.
“DOMESTIC AWARENESS WARNING!! I’m tired of the silence, I’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve been through a lot in 8 years and I’ve had enough! I’ve dealt with abuse for years, this guy and I decided to break up a few months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell,” Dakoda wrote in the post.
Chiefs said at the time: “The club is aware of the allegations circulating on social media and is in contact with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time.”
Rice previously served prison time in 2025 after pleading guilty to multiple felonies for his role in a multi-vehicle crash on a Dallas freeway. He recently announced his new girlfriend, sharing a Valentine’s Day post with Instagram model Ruby Rose.
