The Indian national cricket team not only lifted the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup but also received a huge financial reward after defeating the New Zealand national cricket team in the final in Ahmedabad.The champions will receive $3 million, which translates to around INR 27.48 crore, from the tournament’s prize pool. New Zealand, which comes in second place, will receive $1.6 million, which is about 14.65 lakh Indian rupees.

The International Cricket Council has allocated prize money to all teams participating in the tournament, with the total amount amounting to around INR 120 crore. The distribution depends on how far each team is in the competition.
The losing semi-finalists, the South Africa national cricket team and the England national cricket team, will each receive $790,000, which is approximately INR 7.24 crore.Teams that reached the Super 8 stage but failed to qualify for the semi-finals will receive $380,000 each, which is approximately INR 3.48 lakh crore. Meanwhile, each team participating in the group stage is guaranteed a payout of $250,000, equivalent to approximately INR 2.29 lakh crore.India’s victory in the final was built on a dominant performance with both bat and ball.
