New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that fans will be allowed to attend the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.Naqvi, who is also the country’s home minister, said on social media that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had “kindly agreed” to fans attending the final on May 3, which will be held in Lahore.The 2026 PSL season was earlier played behind closed doors after authorities urged restrictions on public movement due to rising fuel prices linked to the conflict in the Middle East.

Amid this situation, the Pakistani government has advised its citizens to limit travel and work from home as part of broader efforts to manage fuel consumption.Naqvi said that while Sharif was inclined to allow fans into the stadium, the Prime Minister also stressed that austerity measures remained in place across the country to reduce fuel use.On the cricket front, Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans and three-time champions Islamabad United have already secured their places in the qualifiers ahead of next week’s knockout stage.Defending champions Lahore Qalandars, newcomers Hyderabad Kingsmen and Karachi Kings are still in contention for the fourth and final playoff spot.
