IPL 2026: Finn Allen makes KKR history, joins elite six-hitter club

Finn Allen continued his outrageous six-hit run in IPL 2026 and entered the elite list on Saturday after smashing 10 sixes during Kolkata Knight Riders’ match against Gujarat Titans.KKR’s explosive opener has now registered two IPL innings with 10 or more sixes, joining only a handful of batsmen to achieve the feat multiple times in the league’s history. Only Chris Gayle has done that more often, with four such innings to his name.

Allen produced another stunning innings at Eden Gardens after GT won the toss and elected to field first. The right-hander launched a brutal attack on every Gujarat bowler and raced to a 21-ball half-century, shifting the entire momentum in KKR’s favor during the power play.The New Zealand batsman eventually fell to 93 runs off just 35 deliveries, narrowly missing out on what would have been one of the fastest IPL hundreds ever. His innings included four boundaries and 10 massive sixes at a strike rate of 265.71.

Allen’s innings finally came to an end when Sai Kishore beat him with a fly-out and a drift. In another effort to hit the ground, Allen backed away and looked to clear the ropes again, only to find Rashid Khan safely positioned long-on.

The knock also propelled Allen into the record books for KKR. His 93 is now the highest individual score by a KKR batsman against Gujarat Titans in IPL history.This was also Allen’s second IPL innings this season featuring 10 sixes, after his previous carnage against Delhi Capitals in Delhi.
