New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar finally made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday after getting his first-team debut for LSG ahead of the team’s final IPL 2026 match against Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.Arjun also got a chance to bat and remained unbeaten in five matches as LSG, after being put in to bat by Punjab Kings, scored 196/6 in their 20 overs.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant brought Arjun into the attack immediately after the Powerplay.The young left-arm pacer impressed in his debut match, conceding just four runs and not allowing Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh to find boundaries.Arjun also came close to picking up a wicket in the final over.He threw a short pass to Prabhsimran, who tried to pull the catch. The ball hit the glove and flew to the left of wicket-keeper Pant. The LSG skipper raced through the ball and managed to get his gloves to the ball, but failed to hold on to it.Arjun, who had already jumped in celebration, was disappointed after Pant dropped the catch.Earlier, Josh Inglis top-scored for LSG with 72 off 44 balls, hitting nine boundaries and two sixes, while Aayush Badoni smashed 43 off just 18 deliveries through the middle.
In the end, Abdel Samad provided the finishing touches by scoring an unbeaten 37 goals out of 20 balls.For Punjab Kings, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (2/25) and Marko Janssen (2/33) were the most successful bowlers.
