Bengaluru Police issues strict advisories ahead of RCB vs GT IPL 2026 final

New Delhi: Ahead of Sunday’s IPL 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, Bengaluru Police has issued a strict public advisory.With excitement building across the city as RCB bids for its second Indian Premier League title, authorities have urged fans to celebrate responsibly and avoid activities that may lead to crowding, public disturbance or safety concerns.

Special security and traffic arrangements are being put in place to ensure that celebrations do not get out of control.Bengaluru Police warned citizens not to gather in public places for celebrations immediately after the final result. It is also prohibited to install LED screens facing public roads without obtaining prior approval.

  • Responsibly celebrate and maintain public order.

The authorities also issued instructions to shopping malls, bars and other establishments not to organize live performances in areas visible to the general public.

The use of firecrackers and other dangerous materials during celebrations has also been banned.Police have also taken strict action against activities such as bike rallies, excessive speeding, stunt riding, unnecessary honking and road blocks, warning that strict action will be taken against violators.Citizens have been advised not to consume alcohol in public, cause disturbances, engage in fights or behave inappropriately during post-match celebrations.

The advisory also warned people against sharing provocative content, rumors or hate messages on social media. Fans were urged not to target or mock supporters of rival teams, as such behavior could lead to unnecessary confrontations.Appealing for public cooperation, Bengaluru Police said that maintaining safety, peace and law and order during the high-profile final was a collective responsibility and urged fans to celebrate in a responsible manner.
