Music composer Palash Muchhal, who is engaged to Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, was recently discharged from a hospital in Goregaon. Reports indicate that Palash was taken to the hospital shortly after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced symptoms resembling a heart attack on the morning of November 23, just a few hours before their planned wedding ceremony.
Palash was admitted to the hospital after he reported chest pain and trouble breathing.
He had been receiving treatment for three days following his initial visit to a medical facility in Sangli, Maharashtra, before being moved to Mumbai for more advanced care.
Smriti’s father was later released from the hospital, with health authorities confirming that his condition is now stable and he is no longer in immediate danger.
As part of his medical evaluation, doctors conducted an angiography and found no blockages in his arteries.
This update follows news that Shrinivas’ condition has improved, as shared by hospital officials with Sangli India TV.
The incident occurred just as the couple was preparing for a four-day wedding celebration. In response to the situation, Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, issued an official statement announcing that the wedding would be “postponed indefinitely.”
Tuhin explained that Smriti made the decision to delay the event because she is very close to her father and wants to ensure his full recovery before proceeding with the marriage.
He stated, “Smriti is clear – she wants to see her father well and then get married.”
According to recent reports, Palash’s mother has also commented on the situation.
