On the lines of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Rajasthan government has announced the formation of a testing agency to conduct recruitment tests in the state, Finance Minister Zia Kumari announced while presenting the Budget for the year 2026-27. The agency will conduct recruitment tests in a planned and transparent manner.

The government also announced the establishment of a training center equipped with digital facilities. “A training center with digital facilities will be established to provide students with training related to start-ups and innovation. The training center will provide mentorship, entrepreneurship and incubation facilities.”

Major announcements in Rajasthan State Budget:

  • To further promote women entrepreneurship, under the Prime Minister Lakhpati Didi programme, the loan limit provided to Lakhpati Didis on interest subsidy has been increased to Rs 1.50 lakh.
  • Rs 550 crore has been allocated for school repairs and Rs 440 crore for construction of new schools
  • Deep Tech and AI labs will be set up in Ajmer, Bharatpur and Kota at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
  • Appointment of 5,000 home guards
  • Integrated military complexes will be set up in 8 districts of Rajasthan – Jodhpur, Phalodi, Khirthal, Beawar, Tonk, Shergarh, Jhunjhunu and Sri Ganganagar.
  • Rest houses will be built in major hospitals at a cost of Rs 500 crore
  • Under the housing scheme, approval has been given to build houses for 28,000 families. The installments will be paid to the beneficiaries on time.
  • To prepare youth for global opportunities in customer-focused sectors such as hospitality, IT and healthcare services, training will be provided to 1,000 youth in the state in English, Japanese, French, German and Korean.
  • Under Chief Minister Jal Jeevan’s mission plan, 6,500 villages will be included and connected to tap water for every household, with an outlay of Rs 4,500 crore.
  • Next year, 3,000 new drinking water connections will be provided. Rs 750 crore will be spent to ensure 24-hour water supply in Deshnok
  • A fund of Rs 1,000 crore has been announced for Jaipur
  • Rs 1,400 crore has been allocated for new roads and renovation works
  • Rs 246 crore has been allocated for renovation of anganwadi centres
  • Announcing the establishment of Rajasthan State Agency on the lines of NTA
  • Rs 920 crore announced for Rail Over Bridges (ROBs)
  • New prisons will be built in Jaipur, Alwar and Jodhpur
  • A cybercrime unit will be set up in Rajasthan
  • Formation of ‘RITI’ on the lines of NITI Aayog
  • An announcement about providing a free transportation service for the bodies of the deceased from hospitals to their homes
  • Rs 150 per reward above the minimum price of wheat.
