Two alleged shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who were wanted in the killing of a gym owner in Haryana’s Hansi were killed in an encounter involving the Delhi Police Special Cell and Special Task Force Haryana (STF) in Haryana’s Bahadurgarh on Sunday, police said.

The deceased, Parvesh and Himanshu, were carrying a reward of Rs $1 lakh each and were the prime suspects in the June 10 murder of 25-year-old gym owner Kapil Ridhu in Hansi. Rideau was outside his gym when men on a bicycle fired more than 10 bullets at him.
The police said that the Special Cell received a report that the accused, armed with weapons, were planning another murder. Acting on intelligence, teams from Delhi Police Special Cell and Haryana STF tracked the duo and tried to arrest them.
A senior police officer said: “When the teams tried to intercept the shooters, they opened fire. In self-defence, the police teams returned fire. During the exchange of fire, a Delhi Police constable was injured by a bullet in his leg, while four other personnel sustained bullet marks on their bulletproof vests.”
The officer added: “The two accused were also injured in the encounter and were taken to hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The injured policeman was referred to a highly specialized hospital for treatment.”
A case was registered at Hansi city police station after Ridhu’s murder last month. “During investigation, Parvesh and Himanshu were identified as the main shooters involved in the murder. Both of them are wanted in a case of murder and attempt to murder and under the Arms Act,” an officer said.
