Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay has announced the list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections. The actor-turned-politician will contest from two constituencies, Perambur and East Tiruchirappalli. The upcoming poll on April 23 will mark Vijay’s debut In parliamentary politics.
Among the party’s senior leaders who received tickets are General Secretary N. Anand, from T. Carpenter, and Treasurer, B. Venkataramanan, from Mylapore.
Other prominent leaders of the party contesting the elections are Aadhav Arjuna from Villivakkam, K A Sengottaiyan from Gopicettipalayam, Arun Raj from Tiruchengode, and former AIADMK MLA JCD Prabhakar of a thousand lights.
