Hours after being slapped during a demonstration in Jaipur, Kukrush Janta Party founder Abhijit Debaki urged those associated with the movements “not to be distracted”.

Describing the incident as an “attempt to intimidate and intimidate”, Debke said the CJP would continue to demand the resignation of union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan “peacefully”. In a post on X after the incident, Debke said, “Physical attacks are a sign of fear and cowardice.”
“We will continue to raise our voices peacefully. I am a follower of Gandhi and Ambedkar, and I will continue to fight this battle with peace and love. P.S. Dharmendra Pradhan must resign!” Debke added. Speaking about the incident, he said: “I was assaulted while entering the protest site.”

“Our only demand is Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Pradhan will have to resign because of the injustice done to the students, and those who committed suicide,” the CJP founder said.
Debke said, after the incident, that he would not raise his hand “against anyone, no matter how many attacks happen.”
He also urged the group’s followers “not to be distracted” and to be “steadfast” in meeting their demands. “He slapped me not once but ten times, but we will continue to say: ‘Dharmendra Pradhan must resign,'” Debaki said. The CJP founder also asked the protesters to “not raise” their hands. “No matter how many times they attack us, we must not raise our hands,” Debaki stressed. Our movement is peaceful, and we will only advance with peace and love.” He said, “Cowards resort to violence,” adding that he “will not remain silent.”
What happened during the Jaipur protest?
Debaki was manhandled before he could address the crowd at the CJP’s protest at Shaheed Smarak in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Monday. Debke, who was on his way to address the rally, was being carried on the shoulders of his supporters when some miscreants in the crowd pulled his scarf. After that, these unknown people slapped him several times and tried to knock him down, as shown in the videos obtained by H.T.
After the incident, CJP state spokesperson Abhishek Jain Bittu accused the administration of failing to prevent the incident. “The manner in which this attack took place raises serious questions about the role of the police and the government. Instead of stopping the anti-social elements, the administration allowed the situation to unfold. The conduct of the Rajasthan government and the police is condemnable and action must be taken against the officials involved,” he added.
While permission was given to 800 people, a much larger crowd gathered at the protest venue on Monday, people familiar with the matter told HT.
