JAMMU: Troops foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Sunderbani sector in Rajouri in Jammu, while a joint team of police and 54 Rashtriya Rifles busted a terrorist unit in Nowshera area of the district, arrested a suspected terrorist associate with links to Pakistan-based smugglers, and eliminated a cross-border arms network between the countries.A White Knight Corps (16 Corps) spokesman said on Channel “Operational preparedness continues to be maintained across the sector.”

In Nowshera, Sachin Kumar, alias Bama, was arrested on the basis of intelligence inputs, and a cache of weapons was seized, including a Turkish-made Zigana pistol, three magazines, a Chinese TT-30 Norinco pistol and a magazine, as well as 15 live rounds, a White Knight Corps spokesperson said on Channel X.Preliminary investigation suggests that Kumar was in direct contact with Pakistan-based terrorists/smugglers and was running a cross-border arms smuggling operation between countries.
