The Gujarat High Court is scheduled to deliver its verdict on Tuesday in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case, in which 56 people were killed and more than 200 others injured in a series of coordinated blasts across the city.

Sentencing is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m.
On 26 July 2008, 21 serial bomb blasts occurred at 20 locations across Ahmedabad within approximately 70 minutes, sparking panic throughout the city.
The terrorist attack killed 56 people, while more than 200 people were injured in the explosions.

The Islamic terrorist group Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Meanwhile, another investigation is underway in the Delhi Red Fort blast case, where the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a forensic report regarding the body parts of the deceased who died during the blast. The court referred the matter for examination in the forensic report.
According to the NIA, a high-intensity car bomb explosion killed 11 people and injured several others, besides causing extensive damage to nearby property.
The NIA produced nine accused before Special Magistrate (NIA) Pitambar Dutt, who extended their judicial custody till the next date. The court listed the case on July 13.
The NIA has already filed a chargesheet against 10 accused persons, including Shaheen Saeed and others. The supplementary charge sheet against Zameer Ahmed Ahangar and Tufail Ahmed Bhat is also awaiting consideration before the NIA court in Patiala.
The NIA has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Zameer Ahmed Ahanjar, Tufail Ahmed Bhat and one of the absconding accused in the November 2025 Delhi blast case.
Zamir and Tufail were arrested in February 2026. The agency has already filed a main indictment in the case.
Zamir and Tufayl were allegedly collecting weapons and ammunition. Zamir obtained a rifle, pistol and live ammunition from Omar, Irfan and Adil. Both are associated with the supporters of the Indian conquests.
This case relates to a car bomb explosion in the Red Fort in November 2025.
