Union Home Minister Amit Shah interacted with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Sanchu post in Bikaner, Rajasthan on Tuesday, and virtually inaugurated women’s barracks. He praised the border guard forces and stressed the center’s goal of “no infiltration.”

Shah praised the dedication of the border guards, saying they carried out their responsibility towards the nation “without caring about the scorching heat, biting cold, rain, dense forests, snow-capped peaks or temperatures ranging from 45 degrees to minus 45 degrees Celsius.”
Pointing out that the Narendra Modi-led government has adopted a policy of “responding ruthlessly to any attempt by terrorists”, the Home Minister praised the Border Security Forces personnel for their “commendable performance” during Operation Sindoor.

Shah said that wherever the Border Guard forces were on the front lines, they stood firm and with complete determination. “Wherever required, the Frontier Corps personnel provided an appropriate response to Pakistan in keeping with their proud traditions.”
“Non-stealth” and “anti-drone systems”
Home Minister Amit Shah stressed that border security depends on a “quadrilateral security network” – comprising the border guarding forces, the army, citizens of the border areas and the local administration – and said it is not an “isolated duty, but a regional responsibility.”
He said the central government’s aim was to ensure “no infiltration”, which Shah pointed out could only be achieved through the quadrangular security network.
Shah said: “The responsibility of securing the borders of Pakistan and Bangladesh falls on the border guarding forces. Along these borders, we have to strengthen the quadrilateral security network. To deal with any threat, the border guarding forces, armed forces, border residents and local administration must work jointly; that is why it has been called the quadrilateral network. Border security is not an isolated duty, but a regional responsibility that we all share.”

On the same day he announced the formation of a high-level committee on demographic change, Shah urged the border guarding forces to monitor any “unnatural demographic change” occurring in villages near the border.
In addition, Amit Shah said the center will start installing anti-drone systems within the next six months.
Referring to the cross-border drone incidents, Shah stressed that it is important to identify who receives the drones once they land on Indian soil and who uses the materials brought by them for anti-national activities.
Shah stressed constant vigilance towards all threats arising across borders, adding that at the same time, attention must also be paid to those within our borders who are accustomed to creating internal threats.
