What is a pink smart card?

Delhi Smart Pink Card is a QR based digital smart card for women and transgender citizens of Delhi. This card will contain the applicant’s name, photo, QR code, card ID and basic details.

This card will help women travel free on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses. The card can also be used for paid travel on the subway, the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and other public transit services.

About 50 centres, including offices of district magistrates, sub-divisional magistrates and selected DTC sites, will be set up to issue the cards. Each pink card will be linked to the beneficiary’s mobile number and Aadhaar to verify age, gender and Delhi residence.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the smart card must be a resident of Delhi, be a woman or transgender, be above 12 years of age, have a valid ID card and a valid address proof.

How can female candidates apply for the pink card?

To apply for the pink smart card, female candidates must follow the following steps.

1. Visit Delhi Transport official website or DTC portal.

2. Click on the application form link and enter the details.

3. Upload the necessary documents, then click Submit.

4. Once done, check in with yourself.

5. Click Submit and download the confirmation page.

Along with this card, President Murmu will officially launch the ‘Sashakt Nari, Samridh Delhi’ scheme at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, organized by the Women and Child Development Department and the scheme to provide two free LPG cylinders annually to all ration card holders families in Delhi on the occasions of Holi and Diwali.
