In a statement here, the CJP, which started as a satirical social media account and turned into a movement in the wake of last week’s unrest in Jantar Mantar, also announced that it will hold protests in various cities, starting with Pune on June 11, followed by Lucknow, Amritasar, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Hyderabad.

The CJP said the protests would continue until Pradhan’s resignation.

Terming it a national issue affecting millions of families and youth whose futures are at risk due to alleged irregularities in examination conduct, the CJP said, “The Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, has failed to take responsibility for these repeated failures. Accountability must start from the top. That is why we reiterate our demand: Dharmendra Pradhan must resign.”

She added, “If the government does not respond to this request and dismiss the minister, or if he does not submit his resignation, the youth of this country will gather on June 20 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi for an indefinite peaceful sit-in until the minister resigns. We will not leave until accountability is done.”

Terming it a movement to defend the integrity of India’s education system and ensure that no student is forced to pay the price of institutional failure, the CJP called on students, parents, teachers and citizens from across the country to join the “struggle for accountability and justice”.

In a post on X, CJP founder Abhijit Debaki said climate activist Sonam Wangchuk will join the protest in Pune.

The CJP has emerged in recent weeks as a student and youth-led movement protesting alleged irregularities in competitive exams and broader issues in the education system.

The group has attracted attention through social media campaigns and public demonstrations, including a recent protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi that attracted significant participation.
