Besides the major reorganization in Delhi, governorships of several other states were also changed with Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi replacing CV Ananda Bose in West Bengal. Lieutenant General Syed Atta Hasnain (Retd) has been appointed as the new Governor of Bihar.

Bose tendered her resignation earlier in the day and President Draupadi Murmu accepted it, PTI reported, citing a statement from her office.

She added that Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlikar will assume the duties of Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Delhi’s incumbent LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has been appointed as the Governor of Ladakh in place of Kavinder Gupta, who has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Gupta resigned on Thursday after serving less than nine months in his position.

Gupta, who started his tenure as a worker of the Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh, the third LG of Ladakh, succeeds Brigadier General BD Mishra, who took over the post in February 2024.
