Shortly before the announcement, Dipke posted on

Sonam Wangchuk took to X and Instagram to announce the move. He said: “I will join the CJP members in Delhi on June 6 if nothing changes by June 5. Any self-respecting minister should resign if things get worse… let alone impact the lives of millions of young people and indeed the future of India.”

He said in a video message that he spoke to Debke and reviewed the data he shared. Wangchuk said he is convinced that the movement reflects the concerns of young people and that Debke’s intentions are focused on improving the country.

“My friends, in my last post, I told you guys, cockroaches, to prove, to convince, that the Janata Cockroach Party is an expression of Indian youth, and not a conspiracy of foreign powers. After this, many of you wrote about this in the comments, and Deepki ji contacted me, I talked to him, and he shared this data with me, which I am sharing with you now. After talking to him, I felt that he has no wrong intentions, he is very patriotic, but he is making a sacrifice, a sacrifice, for the betterment of the country.”

Wangchuk said he would join the June 6 rally in Delhi and expressed his support for demanding accountability on issues affecting students, including disputes over key exams.

“I will join the CJP party members in Delhi on June 6th if nothing changes by June 5th. Any self-respecting minister should resign if things get this bad… not to mention affecting the lives of millions of young people and indeed the future of India.”

“And you must have also seen that on January 6, he was calling people in Delhi, so that we can ask for the education minister’s resignation. Now, this could be because of you and your comrades, NEET papers, or CUET and CBSE exams. But for me, this is a bigger problem.”

The climate activist said his concerns went beyond exam controversies and were rooted in the broader state of education in the country. He highlighted his decades-long work in the education sector and expressed disappointment at the pace of change.

“Look, since the last four decades, I have been fighting for education. Once I finished engineering, I started improving education, and that too in government schools, in remote villages. When I don’t see any change, I feel disappointed, and I feel the need to do something.”

Wangchuk also said that although policy initiatives such as the National Education Policy and the Forward India Vision were promising, their implementation on the ground remained a concern.

“So, the big issue is what is happening to our education? There are very good policies coming, which I am very happy about. You must have seen the new education policy. But how well it is being implemented, how much is being done on the ground, I am very disappointed to see that.”

“Similarly, you must have seen that there is an initiative for a developed India. Now, who doesn’t like a developed India? But if you look at its implementation, you may be disappointed. Will India develop in 2047 or not? If you want to see that, I have a magic solution.”
