The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust on Monday invited applications to appoint its first CEO, in a bid to professionalize the management of the temple complex and restore its image after recent allegations of misappropriation of donations emerged last month.

The foundation announced the vacancy on Monday and gave applicants until July 18 to apply.
The Foundation is looking for applicants between 50 to 70 years old, with a graduate degree, and at least 20 years of managerial responsibilities in a large public institution or organization, government department or company. Preference will be given to those who have experience as a key administrative employee in the temple.
The successful candidate will be appointed on a three-year contract
The CEO will be responsible for the overall management, management and day-to-day functioning of the Ram Mandir complex, a social media post said.
The CEO will work under the overall direction of the Fund and report to its Secretary-General.
The corporation recently accepted the resignation of general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra amid the controversy. Trustee Krishna Mohan is currently serving as the interim Secretary General.
Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra on Saturday said the focus was on strengthening the management of the fund in light of recent events. “This is now a matter of temple management, which will certainly be improved to protect against a recurrence of the alleged theft of donations,” he added.
Once applications are received, a three-member committee established on July 6 will shortlist potential candidates. The committee consists of retired judge Pramod Kohli, retired Army Lt. General Vishnukant Chaturvedi and former National Institute of Technology Raipur chief Suresh Hawari.
The Trust will finalize the appointment of a CEO from a shortlist of three candidates.
There has been speculation that the Fund may consider appointing a woman to this position. But there has been no official confirmation.
The social media post certainly did not stop women from coming forward.
The new CEO will play a crucial role in ensuring that Ram Mandir functions as a world-class pilgrim center while maintaining transparency and service standards, officials said.
