Sharad Pawar’s daughter, Supriya Sule, met late Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s mother Asha Pawar before she left for New Delhi for the budget session of Parliament on Saturday.

According to Sul, he had come to seek permission to travel to Delhi to gain hope Union Budgetscheduled to be presented on Sunday.
“Since the budget session is tomorrow, I am going to Delhi. I met Asha Kaki and took her permission, asking if I will go to Delhi for the budget session. She said yes, it is the country’s budget, and I should go. As floor leader of NCP, my presence is required,” Sule told reporters before leaving.
Sule also reacted to the swearing-in of his sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar as the new Deputy CM of Maharashtra. Sunetra Power State’s first woman sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister At a function at Mumbai’s Lok Bhavan on Saturday, just three days after the death of husband Ajit Pawar.
“Ram Krishna Hari,” Sule replied with folded hands, news agency ANI reported.

NCP-SP leader Supriya Sule will attend the Union Budget 2026-27, which Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present in Parliament on February 1. Sitharaman is set to present a record ninth Union Budget.

Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devabrata administered the oath of office to Sunetra Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. He has been given the portfolios of State Excise, Minority Affairs, Sports and Youth Welfare.
Maharashtra Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule, NCP Maharashtra State President Sunil Tatkare, NCP Working President Praful Patel and Maharashtra Minister Chagan Bhujbal were also present on the occasion.
