Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital here after being diagnosed with urinary tract infection.

A medical bulletin issued by Medanta Hospital here on Wednesday said that 89-year-old Das was rushed to the emergency department at around 1.30 pm on June 29 in an unconscious state.
After an initial examination, doctors said he was suffering from a urinary tract infection.

Das has been admitted to the ICU, where he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of critical care specialist Dr Dilip and his team, the bulletin said.
She added that a team of specialized doctors is closely monitoring his condition and providing him with all necessary treatment.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been set up to oversee the construction of the Ram Temple.

Nritya Gopal Das is the chairperson of the trust, which is scheduled to hold a major meeting on July 6 to discuss the situation following the resignation of two of its principal trustees, Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, in the wake of the controversy over missing donations at the Ram temple.
Despite the age issues, Das has previously attended some Trust meetings virtually, and with the current main meeting just five days away, his chances of attending remain uncertain, sources said.
